Recruits React To Florida State's Second Decisive Victory In As Many Weeks To Begin 2023
Florida State pulled off its second decisive victory in as many weeks to begin the 2023 season on Saturday night. The Seminoles dominated Southern Miss en route to a 66-13 victory that saw 102 players who were wearing garnet and gold take a snap. That meant 24 true freshmen or reserves made their debut with the program against the Golden Eagles.

With this being the home opener for FSU, there were plenty of recruits in the stands and many others watching on TV around the country. Clearly, the Seminoles were able to take advantage of the attention that comes with being a top-5 team in the country.

I talked with coach Dugans a couple hours before the game and he told me this was going to be a great night for Seminole football and they did not disappoint! I know it wasn’t a powerhouse program, but they guys executed like they were coached to do. Great game."
