Bulldogs Draft Stock Fluctuating Following Super Bowl LVIII
The NFL Season ended this Sunday when the Kansas City Chiefs won an overtime thriller against the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LVIII. This means that the order for the NFL Draft is officially set and it appears that the latest updates have caused a few Dawgs draft positions to change.
According to a three-round mock draft by The Athletic, tight end Brock Bowers and offensive lineman Amarius Mims remain first-round talents. However, cornerback Kamari Lassiter is now projected to fall to the second round. Lassiter was originally projected to be a first-round pick in Mel Kiper's first mock draft.
Another player who has seen some big movement is wide receiver Ladd McConkey. McConkey's impressive showing in The Reese's Senior Bowl created a ton of buzz around his draft profile and has consequently caused him to rise in draft projections. According to The Athletic, McConkey is now projected to be one of the first selections in the second round of the NFL Draft and has an excellent chance to even sneak into the first round.
While mock drafts will continue to flood in, the NFL Combine, pro days, and a handful of developments will likely cause these projections to fluctuate ahead of the draft. Coverage for the 2024 NFL Draft will begin on April 25th in Detroit, Michigan.
