EA Sports Reveals Georgia Uniform Spec in College Football Video Game
Video game publisher Electronic Arts subtly made a statement this week on its Twitter (X) when it revealed that the company's new college football game will be fully revealed sometime in May. The company released a trailer video that briefly gave a preview as to what the Georgia Bulldogs Uniform would look like.
Beloved by fans, the NCAA College Football franchise was an annual must-have in the gaming community until it was discontinued in the summer of 2013 due to conflicts over the use of players' names, images, and likenesses within the game. However, with the recent NIL (name, image, and likeness) rule changes in collegiate athletics, players may now receive compensation for the use of their NIL. The company announced in 2021 that it would be bringing the franchise back to life.
Since then, updates and news for the development of the game have been few and far between. However, with an expected release date in the Summer of 2024, more and more details around the game such as this one are likely to begin to trickle in.
While a "full reveal" does not mean the game will be released in May. It does suggest that more details such as game trailers, an official release date, and possibly a cover athlete will finally be revealed.
