2024 Defensive Lineman Justin Greene Announces Commitment
Kirby Smart and his staff stay hot within the class of 2024, picking up another Georgia football commit from defensive lineman Justin Greene.
Greene is a defensive lineman from the state of Georgia and is currently ranked as a borderline top-100 player in the 2024 class. Coach Tray Scott has found immense success as Georgia's defensive line coach since his arrival, and this commitment is another testament to that.
Greene joins an already elite 2024 class that only solidified the Bulldogs' current spot as the number one class in the nation with his commitment. Greene's commitment comes following an exciting weekend visit to Athens, including six current commits from the '24 class.
The Georgia native is ranked as one of the best players in the state and is the first defensive line commit for Georgia's class this cycle. As for the exact position he will play at Georgia, Greene said, "[Scott's] words were a big end. I think they have it set up where there is an outside linebacker on one side and then a big end on one side. He wants me to set that edge, maybe play 4i sometimes on run, but yeah, mostly five, six technique."
This visit included recent Georgia commit Dylan Raiola, who has repeatedly mentioned wanting to build "the best class ever." The Dawgs also recently added the No. 1 TE in the 2024 class, Jaden Reddell. Greene is just the latest of the top targets to join the Georgia football program since the commitment of Raiola.
This recent commitment only proves the ability of Smart as a recruiter. Consistently being in the conversation of a top-three recruiting class since he took over at Georgia, Smart is looking to solidify the Bulldogs as the true dominant force of college football.
Since Raiola joined Dawg Nation, the Bulldogs have gained serious momentum on the recruiting trail. With Greene announcing his commitment, it could mean that more good news is on the horizon for Georgia's football program.
