BREAKING: Felony Charges Against Rara Thomas Dismissed
Georgia wide-out Rara Thomas will not face any prison time for his altercation at a University of Georgia dorm room in January of this year, as reports indicate that the felony charges against the twenty-year-old have been dismissed. He is expected to fully participate in the team's spring practices which will take place later this month.
Thomas, a stand-out player for the Mississippi State Bulldogs, was one of two transfers that Georgia took at the receiver position ahead of the 2023 season. In the 2022 regular season with the Bulldogs (Miss. State), he accounted for 626 yards and 7 touchdowns while bringing in a total of 44 receptions. Prior to his arrest, he was expected to be a major contributor to a Bulldogs team that will be looking to win its third straight national title.
The news likely comes as a relief to Thomas and Georgia fans alike, as the Bulldogs saw two major contributors at the wide receiver position depart after the 2022 season. Thomas will likely make his impact at the "X" receiver position, a position held by former Bulldog standouts such as George Pickens, AD Mitchell, and others.
