Luke Bryan Gets Contestant to Say 'Go Dawgs' on American Idol
The University of Georgia is a national brand and especially when it comes to college football. People from all over the world have ties to the school in Athens, Georgia whether they are a former student, a fan, or in this case, even if they are from the country Georgia, people's blood runs red and black.
Luke Bryan who is a famous country music artist is also a judge on the popular singing competition TV show "American Idol" and is a known Georgia fan. Recently on the show, Bryan and a contestant had a hilarious interaction before an audition and the country singer couldn't keep his college fandom inside when he heard the contestant was from Georgia. Only it was the country, not the state.
Two words. Two simple words. After some convincing, Bryan finally got his "Go Dawgs!"
Bryan is from Leesburg, Georgia, and has always been known to express his pride for being a Bulldog fan. ESPN College Gameday brought him on as the show's celebrity guest picker for the Georgia vs Tennessee game this past season.
Perhaps it is the back-to-back national titles that have helped the University of Georgia reach this nationwide status, but one thing that is for sure is when Luke Bryan says, " Go Dawgs" to you, he won't let you continue on with your audition until he gets one back.
