Carson Beck Prepares For "Homecoming" Game Against Florida

This Saturday, Carson Beck will be making his face a brand new opponent. However, the location in which he'll be playing should be extremely familiar

Carson Beck's first year as the Georgia Bulldogs' starting quarterback has certainly lived up to expectations. Through his first seven games, Beck has already surpassed the 2,000-yard mark and is currently completing nearly 75% of his passing attempts.

The fourth-year quarterback has performed exceedingly well in both Sanford Stadium as well as road environments. However, this Saturday's environment will be extremely unique. Especially for Beck...

The Georgia/Florida game, better known by fans as "The World's Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party" is a heated neutral site matchup that annually meets in Jacksonville, Florida. The city also just so happens to be Carson Beck's hometown.

As a high schooler, the Jacksonville native accumulated quite the laundry list of accolades including an 8A state championship title as well as the State of Florida's 2018 Mr. Football Award.

Since then, Beck has played in a handful of meaningful games in massive environments including last year's national championship game. However, the quarterback has not yet gotten the opportunity to start a game in his hometown.

Beck and the Bulldogs will look to put on a show and soundly defeat their longtime rivals in a game that has massive implications for the SEC's Eastern division.
