Georgia's Remaining Schedule - Who Could Be The Troublesome Game?

Georgia is likely set to play the remainder of their 2023 slate without starting tight end, Brock Bowers. We take a look at what Georgia has in store on their schedule.

The Georgia Football world received a bit of a dark cloud in the form of injury news this week as starting tight end and Heisman trophy candidate, Brock Bowers has undergone Tight-Rope surgery to repair a high-ankle sprain that he suffered during the 37 to 20 victory over Vanderbilt.

The injury and subsequent surgery carry a typical timetable of return of anywhere from 4 to 6 weeks depending on each individual case. So, in other words, it's to be determined.

It's left many wondering however, will Georgia be able to survive the rest of their regular season slate while remaining undefeated in hopes of making another College Football Playoff.

Florida - Florida has had ups and downs this season, but has several wins like a 29 to 16 win over a then top-10 ranked Tennessee football team as well as a come-from-behind road victory over South Carolina last weekend in which their offense amounted nearly 500 yards of total offense and put up 41 points. They are unquestionably a young football team, it's a program that amidst a rebuild under BIlly Napier has managed to win games most thought they wouldn't this season, despite having an ugly loss like Kentucky.

Missouri - If you've watched Georgia closely this season you'd notice that they are an offensive-led football team. They are 9th in the country in passing, they are 14th in the country in points per-play. The "problem" so far through the first half of the season is the defense getting off the field in the standard that they normally do. If there's on offense, and a receiver in Luther Burden, that could take advantage of a secondary that's had several explosive lapses, it's this Missouri Tigers team.

Ole Miss - This Lane Kiffin-led squad can run the football, they are above-average at the lines of scrimmage, and they have an experienced quarterback. That's enough to pull off an upset on the road if they manage to win the turnover margin or explosives margin.

@ Tennessee - Entering the season, most thought Tennessee would yet again be one of the nation's more explosive and effective offenses. They've been far from it, at least during SEC play. In their three conference games, Tennessee has averaged 25 points per, and had four offensive turnovers. They are perhaps the conference's best rushing football team however and they create a tremendous amount of havoc defensively.
