Predictions for Championship Week CFB Playoff Rankings

Two more weeks remain in the CFP Rankings release before we enter bowl season and the playoffs. Here are our predictions for the rankings for this Championship week.

Rivalry week of the 2023 college football season was easily one of the most exciting weekends of this season. With multiple upsets taking place throughout the week, Dawgs Daily is here with our predictions for championship week’s CFP Rankings, which will be released tonight at 7 p.m. on ESPN.

There was a total of four losses to teams ranked in the top 25 from last week that will definitely make an impact on the top-four teams this week and going into the conference championships this weekend.

1. Michigan - The Wolverines have been compared to the Georgia Bulldogs all season long when it comes to the “eye test,” but this weekend added an element the Wolverines didn’t have over Georgia, and that was a top-two victory over the Ohio State Buckeyes. The committee has shown earlier in the season that they value a team's resume over the eye test, and this week, Michigan won the eye test and resume test over Georgia to give them the one spot.

2. Georgia - The Bulldogs find themselves back in their opening spot from the original CFP Rankings following an unimpressive win over Georgia Tech. The committee will see their win compared to Michigan’s and slide the Dawgs down a spot ahead of their battle with the Tide

3. Washington - The Huskies have been one of the surprises this season, holding a perfect record to this point, with an impressive victory over Oregon. With Ohio State losing, the Huskies find themselves in the top-four discussion with a rematch against the Ducks this weekend.

4. Florida State - The Seminoles have held onto their perfect record, moving into the ACC Championship against a solid Louisville team. They battled through adversity against the Florida Gators to come back and win that game despite the absence of Jordan Travis. With a perfect record, the Seminoles hold the fourth spot.
