ESPN College Gameday Teases Trip to Georgia vs Ole Miss
The current focus in college football is on the week 10 slate of games, and Georgia is focused on taking care of business against the Missouri Tigers, but we may have gotten a little tease of where ESPN College Gameday will be heading for week eleven during Saturday's broadcast.
Analyst Kirk Herbsteit hinted and teased at gameday coming to Athens, Georgia, next week as the Bulldogs will host the Ole Miss Rebels. Assuming both teams win this weekend, it would be a top-10 matchup, and Georgia would be playing for an opportunity to clinch the SEC East.
During an interview with Lane Kiffin prior to the Ole Miss Rebels and Texas A&M Aggies, Herbstreit said in passing to Kiffin "We will see you next week in Athens."
Gameday has made several trips to Athens over the last couple of seasons, but they have not yet made the trip this season. The Georgia vs Ole Miss game is building up to be one of the biggest games of the college football season and will likely have high implications when the two teams meet.
Kirby Smart, since taking over at Georgia, has only played Ole Miss one time, and it was his first year in Athens back in 2016. He and his Bulldogs made the trip out to Oxford, Mississippi, and left disappointed as the Rebels came out on top. They are the only current SEC opponent that Kirby Smart does not have a win against, so the stakes will be even higher for Georgia during week eleven.
