Former Georgia Reciever Mecole Hardman Traded to Kansas City Chiefs
Former Georgia Bulldogs and current NFL receiver Mecole Hardman has been involved in a trade that would send him back to the team that drafted him, the Kansas City Chiefs.
Hardman, a former Bulldog was a receiver and special teams standout during his time at the University of Georgia. In just two full seasons with the Bulldogs, the Elberton, Georgia native accounted for 13 total offensive touchdowns and was a monstrous threat as a return specialist.
second-round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft had a previous stint with the Chiefs where he played an integral in role in the team's recent Super Bowl victories. In his four seasons with the Chiefs, Hardman hauled in 151 catches for 2,088 yards and 16 touchdowns. He would join the New York Jets during the free agency period prior to the 2023 season.
In his brief stint with the Jets, Hardman hauled in just one catch for a total of six yards. However, with the Chiefs' lack of the in the wide-out room this season. Hardman will have an excellent opportunity to receive a massive increase of touches with his new team.
