Georgia 2024 Commit Remains "Locked In" Despite Fran Brown's Departure
As the Georgia Bulldogs are game planning for the Alabama Crimson Tide this weekend, they are having to work through adversity, losing the nation's top recruiter and their defensive backs coach. When news broke earlier this week that defensive backs coach Fran Brown would be leaving, Ellis Robinson IV took to X to reaffirm his commitment, followed by Jordan Thomas this morning.
This is exciting news for Dawgs fans as the early-signing day approaches us on December 20th to December 23rd, and we will see many of the 29 commits Georgia currently has sign their letter of intent to the university.
A lot of speculation came as to what was to follow for the Georgia Bulldogs on the recruiting trail, with Brown taking over as Syracuse's next head coach. He was a big part in landing many of these 2024 commits that Georgia has, such as Robinson, Thomas, and Justin Williams, out in Texas. Brown was also able to bring in Joenel Aguero and AJ Harris to the current Bulldogs roster.
With reassurances coming from two of Fran Brown's biggest commits out of the 2024 class, the swirling rumors about what may happen to the rest of the class can presumably die down, and fans can begin to settle in for the final SEC Championship Game on CBS before a new era of college football starts in 2024.
