The NFL draft is quickly approaching, and several former Bulldogs will be finding out which professional organization they will be continuing their football careers with. Georgia has several players that appear to be in good standing to become a first-round pick, and one of those players is defensive lineman Jalen Carter.

ESPN's Adam Schefter released information that Jalen Carter is declining any meetings with teams that hold a draft pick outside of the top 10. Carter is scheduled to meet with the Chicago Bears who currently hold the 9th pick and previously visited with the Philadelphia Eagles who have the 10th pick, according to the ESPN article.

NFL draft agent Drew Rosenhaus said, "I'm confident Jalen will go in the top 10," Rosenhaus told Schefter. "He's a good person, a family man, loves football, and is a generational talent."

Carter is still considered one of the top prospects in the upcoming NFL draft, but his stock has been fluctuating a little bit ever since he pleaded no contest to misdemeanor charges of reckless driving and racing last month. Despite that, Carter and his agent both seem confident that he will remain a top-10 pick.

Vic Tafur of The Athletic recently reported that league sources have indicated that Carter has been crossed off of the Las Vegas Raiders’ draft board with the team no longer considering using the No.7 pick in April’s NFL draft on the former Georgia star. Additionally, without naming specific teams, Randy Mueller - former general manager of the Miami Dolphins and New Orleans Saints - recently reported that multiple teams have taken Carter off of their boards.

Carter has been considered one of the top players in college football for the past couple of years and at one point looked like a potential candidate to be the first player taken overall in this year's draft. Now with a little over three weeks remaining until the draft kicks off, Carter is hoping that he remains within the top 10 of the draft order.
