FINAL: Georgia Dominates Florida, Wins By a Final Score of 43-20
The Georgia Bulldogs dominate the Florida Gators as they improve to 8-0 on the season and maintain their top spot in the eastern division of the SEC. It is Georgia's third straight win over the Gators, and the program improves to 6-2 over Florida with Kirby Smart as their head coach.
The Gators got off to a hot start to open up the game as they scored a touchdown on their first drive, but it was all Georgia after that. The Bulldogs then went on to score 26 unanswered points in the first, and they kept the momentum rolling in the second half as well.
Ladd McConkey was a major player in Georgia's offensive success, as he finished the day with six receptions for 135 receiving yards and a touchdown. The Bulldogs were wondering who was going to step up in the absence of Brock Bowers, as he missed the game due to an injury, and McConkey stepped up in a big way today.
Georgia also managed to cover the 14.5-point spread that was set earlier in the week and won in dominating fashion. This was a big exclamation point from the Bulldogs as the college football playoff rankings will be released this week for the first time this season.
Georgia will now prepare to face off against ranked opponent Missouri at home next week. The Tigers currently only have one loss, and next week's game will have a major decision on who will represent the eastern division in Atlanta for the SEC Championship Game.
