Duce Robinson to Announce College Decision on Thursday
While the majority of the 2023 recruiting class wrapped up back at the beginning of February, there is still one more prospect who has not yet made a decision. Five-star tight end Duce Robinson elected to push back his commitment date and will be making his decision on Thursday. According to On3 sports.
The star-studded tight end prospect is ranked as the 19th-best player in the nation, the number-one player in the state of Arizona, and the number-one player at his position. Georgia tight end coach Todd Hartley has completely revamped the tight end depth chart in Athens and being in the mix in these types of recruitments is a major reason why.
While Robinson is rated as the number one tight-end prospect for the 2023 class and a top player nationally, he is also an extremely talented baseball player as well. According to Perfect Game, Robinson is a top 300 prospect for the upcoming MLB draft. The 6'6 athlete has drawn some comparisons to Yankees superstar Aaron Judge. Robinson is following in the footsteps of his father, who was another dual sport athlete that was drafted by the Minnesota Twins.
Throughout his recruitment, Robinson has accumulated over 2 dozen offers. Georgia, USC, Texas, and Alabama have seemingly separated themselves from the rest of the pack.
Georgia already brought in two tight ends in the 2023 class. Pearce Sprulin and Lawson Luckie are both already with the Bulldogs for Spring practice and were top players in their position group. They also boast one of the top players in college football with Brock Bowers being the headliner of the group and sophomore Oscar Delp standing next in line behind him. Adding a player like Robinson into the mix would be an embarrassment of riches for Georgia.
This is an announcement that fans have been waiting to see for quite some time, and now it looks like they will finally find out where Robinson will continue his playing career.
