ESPN Analyst Has Javon Bullard Being Selected in First-Round

ESPN NFL Draft Analyst, Jordan Reid, has Javon Bullard Being selected in the first-round in recent mock draft.

Jordan Reid, an ESPN NFL Draft Analyst, recently published his 2024 first-round mock draft and has three Georgia players being drafted. One of these players would be standout safety/STAR Javon Bullard with the 31st overall selection by the Philadelphia Eagles.

Bullard, who's played the better part of the last two seasons at the STAR position, will be making the move back to safety this season. His NFL projection is somewhere in between the two positions, nickel or safety. Either way, his playmaking ability has been noticed.

Jordan Reid had this to say about the Bulldog potentially going to the Eagles:

"They haven't found a solution to losing C.J. Gardner-Johnson this offseason, but Bullard brings a very similar skill set to the slot. He primarily plays nickel and strong safety in Georgia's defense, and he's a physical tone-setter. Bullard had 50 tackles and two interceptions last season."

The defensive MVP of the 2022 National Championship game would be joining many former teammates, as Reid has him selected 31st overall by the Philadelphia Eagles. In that game, Bullard had two interceptions to help secure the win against TCU.

The Eagles' secondary needs safety depth, especially one who could help cover the seams or the slot receiver. Recently they added Kelee Ringo to their CB room, who has played very well knowing he had Bullard covering his back.

It would be a very scary sight if the Eagles could partially emulate the historic. Georgia 2021 defense, it seems they are doing everything they can to do that, as they have drafted five players from that defense.

One issue that some "scouts" may bring up is the height of Bullard, standing at only 5' 11". This is the same "strike" that marked Richard LeCounte III's draft stock down as well, aside from his injury history. But, fans know that Bullard's height has not limited his playmaking ability Kirby Smart's defense.
