Friday Night Lights Preview: Senior Nights In Store For Georgia’s 2024 Commits

With just two weeks left in Georgia High School football, some of the Bulldogs 2024 commits have their Senior Nights tonight.
In this story:

This weekend will be an exciting time for football fans in Georgia as the Bulldogs travel to Jacksonville to take on the Florida Gators tomorrow afternoon. But, for high school football players, family, and fans, Senior Nights are in store for their favorite players. One of the most emotional times for any athlete is their senior game, and in this Friday Night Lights Preview, we will be looking at who Georgia's 2024 commits will be playing for their final home games tonight.

Tonight in Georgia, Dylan Raiola and Buford face Mountain View, who celebrated Justin Greene and their seniors last week when they defeated Central Gwinnett. The trio of Georgia commits had an early taste of their competition this summer during a padded camp where the Mountain View defensive backs were dropped all over the Buford receivers, trying to slow them and Raiola down. A lot of smack talk was happening during that camp and will almost certainly continue into the game tonight. Buford will have one final home game next week to celebrate Raiola and the rest of their talented senior class.

Daniel Calhoun and Walton will be putting a bow on his career tonight when they take on Osborne. Calhoun and Walton come into the game with an 8-0 record and a likelihood to clinch their region tonight with a win, defeating North Cobb earlier in the season, who has competed with Walton for the title the past eight years. Osborne is coming into the game with a 7-1 record, coming off a heartbreaking loss to Wheeler in double overtime last week. Calhoun and Walton don't want the same result to play out with them and will do everything they can to stop Osborne tonight.

Sacovie White and Cass wrap up their 2023 regular season today against Calhoun. White's senior season has not turned out to what he may have hoped for record-wise, but it has been filled with memories he was able to make. Tonight, he has a chance to put an ever-lasting memory with his friends and teammates on his senior night, and against the top team in his region, there is no other night like tonight. Cass currently sits at fourth in the region, and with a win tonight over the region champs in Calhoun, they could move their seeding up for the playoffs.

Joseph Jonah-Ajonye and Justin Williams will have their Senior Day in Texas against Caney Creek. The two future Dawgs have led their Oak Ride team to a 6-2 record and a third-place ranking in their region in 6A, Region II, District 13 Texas football. Caney Creek has a 3-5 record overall and should be a good exit for Ajonye's and Williams' careers at Oak Ridge.

Further out west, Nate Frazier and Mater Dei will celebrate their senior night in California. Frazier and co. come into this game with an 8-1 record, their only loss coming to St. John Bosco, and will be taking on a 5-4 Santa Margarita squad. It will be a night filled with celebration for Frazier before he and his team get ready to enter the country's hardest high school football playoffs.

The big 6' 8", 336-pound offensive lineman, Marcus Harrison, will have his senior night out in New York. St. Francis High School (3-5) plays in single-A Private football out in The Empire State and has clinched its conference title, beating the other two teams. Harrison and St. Francis will have their final home game of the season against a 6-3 McDowell squad that plays in Pennsylvania.

Marques Easley will start his playoffs tonight in Metro-Chicago as he and his Kankakee teammates play the 5-4 Bremen team. Easley and his team have been enjoying a perfect season up to this point, and don't want to see that donut hole in the loss column disappear. That likely won't happen, though, as Easley has helped his team's potent offense in outscoring opponents 431-42 for the entire season. He has been enjoying one of the best senior years anyone could ask for and will look to continue their perfection on the way to an Illinois state title.

Due east of Easley, NiTareon "Nitro" Tuggle has been tearing up Indiana High School football. He led his Northwood High School team to an 8-2 record. This would normally be celebrated if it wasn't for the fact the two losses came in the region, which means they tied for third place, and losing the tie-breaker, they nabbed the fourth seed in the playoffs. Tonight, Nitro and his team play a 3-7 South Bend Washington club and take one step further to a State Championship.

In Tennessee, Ondre Evans has also had a very good senior year. He has helped lead his team to an 8-1 record, and a 5-0 conference record. They will take on Davidson Academy, also 8-1 for the year. Glenn Seabrooks, a Vanderbilt commit, will be leading Davidson's offense against the No. 1 rated player in Tennessee's defense. It is the final game of the year for Evans as they look to prepare themselves for the playoffs and winning a state title.

Sharing a border to the far east of Evans is The Commonwealth State, Virginia. Two of Georgia's commits reside in that state, but the one enjoying his senior night tonight will be Chris Cole. Cole has helped his Salem High School squad reach the top of the conference with two games left, including tonight. Cole and his teammates will celebrate their biggest day on the biggest game of their year as they play Christiansburg for the region championship. The number one player in Virginia will have his opportunity for a statement game tonight.

Finally, out in Iowa, the Georgia punter commit Drew Miller and Mediapolis High School team have a 7-2 record and will celebrate him and his senior teammates tonight against Camanche High School. Miller, who also plays some quarterback for his team, has helped put them on top of the region and claim the title for this season, and they will have a non-region game tonight against the 5-4 Camanche team who has won three games in a row.

A loaded Friday Night for the 2024 Georgia Bulldogs recruiting class, as the 7-0 Georgia Bulldogs look to move to 8-0 this weekend against the Florida Gators. You can watch the Bulldogs this weekend on CBS at 3:30 p.m. when the World's Largest Outdoor Cocktail party kicks off.
