Georgia Opens as Multiple Score Favorite Over Florida State in Orange Bowl

The Georgia Bulldogs have been pinned against Florida State in the Orange Bowl for postseason play, and the betting odds have them as a multiple-score favorite.

After the final college football playoff rankings came out Sunday afternoon, it provided information about where some of the teams who did not make the playoff will be playing during bowl season. Both Florida State and Georgia were the first two teams out of the top four, and they are set to face one another in the Orange Bowl this season.

According to Brett McMurphy, an insider with Action Sports Network, the Bulldogs have opened up as a 12-point favorite over the Seminoles. It will be the 11th matchup between these two programs and the first ever since 2002 when they faced off in the Sugar Bowl as the Bulldogs went on to win that game by a final score of 26-13.

With both Florida State and Georgia no longer in the playoff picture, it is to be expected that both teams will start to hear news about players entering the transfer portal and declaring for the draft leading up to the game which can impact who the teams will have available.

The Orange Bowl is set to be played on Dec. 30 at 4 PM on ESPN. The last time Georgia played in this specific bowl game, they defeated the Michigan Wolverines during the 2021 college football playoff to advance to the national championship game that season.
