Jamon Dumas-Johnson Talks Growth Throughout His College Career
The Georgia Bulldogs have had an incredible run of linebacker talent under head coach Kirby Smart. Apart from winning awards and typically earning themselves high picks in the NFL Draft, many of those who play the linebacker position have claimed to have grown as men as well.
Bulldogs linebacker Jamon Dumas-Johnson is no exception to this, as the junior from Baltimore reflected on how he has grown from a freshman learning behind the likes of Nakobe Dean and Quay Walker to now a key starter on the Bulldogs 2023 defense. Dumas-Johnson also stated that he believes as long as a player really "locks in" and learns in their first year, they will be ready to make an impact once their time comes.
In addition, Dumas-Johnson reflected on his growth off the field and how he was hoping to continue his improve as a person. The also linebacker addressed his arrest earlier this year, in which he was cited for reckless driving.
"I'm definitely disappointed in myself and the decision that I made and I've been disciplined for it. I'm just really looking forward to moving on from that. I made a bad decision, I take full responsibility for what I did."
