Kelee Ringo Has Fans Raving Over His Pass Coverage In NFL Debut

Former Georgia cornerback Kelee Ringo is making his NFL preseason debut tonight for the Philadelphia Eagles and notches an impressive pass breakup.

The Philadelphia Eagles' fourth-round draft pick, Kelee Ringo, makes his NFL debut tonight against the Baltimore Ravens. Ringo was drafted alongside his former Georgia teammates, Jalen Carter and Nolan Smith. This move by the Eagles front office won the hearts of multiple Dawgs fans.

Although preseason may not mean much to fans, it means a lot to the organization. It is a chance to make sure the money they have put into the roster is well spent. In Jalen Carter's first play of tonight's game, he earned his first career sack in the NFL, proving why he belongs on this stage.

Kelee Ringo was proving doubters wrong tonight as well. Ringo was in at cornerback for the Eagles. in the second quarter on a third down play. In man coverage, Ringo had to defend a comeback route. A route where you have to quickly sink your hips and flip them to knock the ball down. Ringo played it to perfection, racking up his first career pass breakup and forcing a Ravens punt.

Critics consistently reported how the downfall of Ringo as a cornerback would be his "stiff hips," but Ringo has proved in this play that he can be fluid with his hips. The problem may be consistency with it. Ringo also picked up a tackle while he was on the field.

Ringo has the opportunity to learn behind one of the league's top cornerback duos in Darius Slay, and James Bradberyy Jr. Rookies always have room to grow and adapt when joining the NFL, but early signs show that the Dawgs may be taking over the NFL.
