With the opening of Spring practice beginning for the University of Georgia, head football coach Kirby Smart addressed the media on Tuesday afternoon. The two-time defending national champion head coach has plenty of questions entering this spring session of 15 practices.

He's got to find a way to replace 12 NFL draft prospects from last year's football team, most notably perhaps, starting quarterback Stetson Bennett. Bennett started 32 games for the Bulldogs over three seasons under offensive coordinator Todd Monken. Now, as Georgia begins the spring sessions, they are not only in search of a new starter at QB, but they are also working in new offensive coordinator Mike Bobo.

Bobo takes over for Monken in his first spring as the coordinator and all expectations are that the terminology and system of offense will not experience much change, but it does add a breath of life into a quarterback room and position battle.

Kirby Smart addressed the topic Tuesday in his press conference, saying that he has three uber-talented quarterbacks and that there will be a competition this spring.

"We think we have three really good quarterbacks. We will not be live with our quarterbacks, we have not been live with our quarterbacks in the seven years we've been here." Smart would go on to re-iterate that both Carson and Brock will be getting reps with the ones to open the spring and would add that Gunner Stockton is not to be counted out in the discussion for the job either.

Smart would add that Vandagriff has added 15 to 20 pounds this offseason, while Beck has toned down a bit and lost some weight.
