Kirby Smart Provides Update on Brock Bowers Following Surgery
Georgia Bulldog fans received some devastating news this week when the team announced that star tight end Brock Bowers would be receiving surgery to repair a sprained ankle he suffered against the Vanderbilt Commodores this past Saturday.
Bowers has since received the famous "tight-rope" surgery and is now in the process of recovering. Head coach Kirby Smart provided an update on Bowers' status during a media presser Tuesday afternoon.
"Yea, I don't think it's as much about any of that as much as it is about the more I've learned about this tight-rope surgery. It's not just us, it's other teams, philosophically, to get back healthy you need to get back on that ankle as soon as you can to get back healthy. Brock will be on the same timeline as everyone else, but the key is to get him healthy, there is no timeline from it. Historically some guys come back really fast, some guys don't."
