Latest AP Poll Rankings Keep Georgia at No. 1 Spot

Georgia football remains at the No. 1 spot in the latest AP Poll rankings heading into conference championship weekend.
In this story:

It wasn't the prettiest of wins for the Georgia Bulldogs on Saturday against their in-state rival Georgia Tech, but they ultimately got the job done. The Bulldogs locked in their third straight undefeated regular season record Saturday, while also securing the longest win streak in SEC history. They will now begin to prepare for their matchup against Alabama in the SEC Championship game.

Rivalry weekend certainly did not disappoint, as there were several games that ended up being closer than expected. Alabama managed to squeak by Auburn on the road when it looked like the Tigers were going to pull off the upset, Washington defeated Washington State by a last-second field goal, and the biggest game delivered a great game as Michigan defeated Ohio State by sealing it with an interception on the final drive of the game.

Of course, the college football playoff rankings are what really matter at this point in the season, but nonetheless, it's still good to know what the other rankings think of teams and who they think the best four teams in the sport are right now. So here is how the AP poll has the top 25 stacked up:

  1. Georgia
  2. Michigan
  3. Washington
