Lawson Luckie Reportedly Shines in Spring Scrimmages
Now that the Georgia Bulldogs' Spring camp is in full swing, players and coaches have begun to paint a more clear picture of what the Bulldog's squad will look like for the 2023 season. But that isn't stopping some young Bulldogs from turning heads in practice. Freshman tight end Lawson Luckie is the most recent Bulldog to shine in the spring as he hauled in multiple touchdowns in a recent inter-squad scrimmage that the Bulldogs held this past week. Including a Brock Bowers-like run after the catch, according to sources.
Luckie, a 4-star recruit from the Bulldog's No.2 ranked 2023 class has been an excellent addition to a Bulldogs' tight end room this spring that is currently tasked with finding a replacement for the departed Darnell Washington who started numerous games during the Bulldog's post three seasons.
While Brock Bowers is clearly the number one tight end heading into the 2023 season, and sophomore Oscar Delp has more experience under his belt. The Norcross, Georgia's early spring success shows that the Bulldog's elite tight end room is likely to be in good hands for many years to come.
