Injury Update for Missouri Ahead of Georgia Game
Georgia and Missouri will square off in a key SEC Eastern Division matchup between the hedges of Sanford Stadium on Saturday. At this advanced stage in a college football season, teams across the country are banged up and working through a variety of injuries. Georgia has dealt with an unprecedented rash of injuries all throughout the 2023 season, but Missouri enters the contest with the Bulldogs dealing with multiple injuries of its own. Here is the latest update on Missouri's injury situation, according to Missouri football beat writer Richard Hamilton, heading into Saturday's crucial SEC East clash:
PROBABLE
S Tre'Vez Johnson
CB Ennis Rakestraw
RB Cody Schrader
DT Kristian Williams
QUESTIONABLE
LB Ty'Ron Hopper
OUT
LB Chad Bailey
Hopper is a name to keep an eye on as we get closer to kickoff. He leads the team in total tackles and has five tackles for loss and two sacks on the season. He is a big-time playmaker for the Tigers' on defense, and his potential absence on Saturday would certainly hurt Missouri.
Georgia enters the game with an 8-0 (5-0 SEC) record and the No.2 ranking in the initial College Football Playoff rankings. Missouri has enjoyed a resurgent season to date and will arrive in Athens ranked No.12 in the CFP rankings with a 7-1 (3-1 SEC) record. The winner of the matchup between the Bulldogs and Tigers will take a tie-break lead in the SEC East standings. Georgia and Missouri will take to the field at 3:30 PM on Saturday, with the game set to be broadcast on CBS.
