Ole Miss Suffers BIG Injury Ahead of Game With Georgia

With a top-ten matchup coming to Athens, GA., the Ole Miss Rebels will be coming to town missing a big piece against the Georgia Bulldogs.

One of the 2023 college football season’s most important games will take place this weekend between two top-ten teams in No. 9 Ole Miss, who visits the No. 2 Georgia Bulldogs. Dawgs Daily is here to provide you with an injury report for the Rebels ahead of their game with Georgia.

One of the biggest injuries that Ole Miss was unprepared for was the injury that happened to one of their starting offensive lineman yesterday afternoon in practice. Reports indicate that OL Micah Pettis suffered an injury during the Rebs’ practice yesterday and may have broken his foot, meaning he will be out this weekend against Georgia.

Unlike what Georgia has dealt with this season, Ole Miss has remained a fairly healthy team in their nine games thus far, but an injury to their right tackle could be a massive hole to fill with one padded practice left before Ole Miss travels to Georgia.

This is a positive sign for the Bulldogs' case, as Ole Miss has a solid o-line within the run game but can now take advantage of a younger tackle. Another positive sign for the Dawgs is that Brock Bowers could very well make his return this Saturday. Nonetheless, both teams will have to play near perfection if they want to walk away with a victory on Saturday night.
