The University of Georgia hasn't placed a wide receiver in the first round of the NFL Draft since 2011 when AJ Greene was selected by the Cincinnati Bengals. That fun fact is one that Georgia football prospects hear on the recruiting trail quite a bit.

Despite the fact that Georgia has won two consecutive national titles, they've done so largely without a "superstar" healthy and available at the wide receiver. Thus making the recruitment of 4-star talents like Amari Jefferson a vital recruitment for this program.

Jefferson, a 4-star dual-sport athlete is currently committed to play baseball at Tennessee. Though his football recruitment has exploded as of late. He recently received an offer from Alabama, rounding out a collection that includes Tennessee, Alabama, Oregon, Georgia, and Florida State.

Jefferson was in town this past weekend for a visit and we caught up with the Volunteer commit to see how things changed in his recruitment following the visit.

On watching the Bulldogs practice:

"It was my first time seeing one (a practice). The intensity of the coaches stood out. How they go from drill to drill over the course of a practice. It appears Kirby saw everything at all times which was cool to see."

On the receiver room and where his relationship with Bryan McClendon stands?

"The receiver room is changing. They are recruiting guys like myself to have more depth there. Being around him all day just how much of a family guy he is. He communicated constantly how he valued his wife and kids. He was well-organized when it came to his receivers. He gave me a full understanding of what they do as far as receivers on offense and how I would fit in the offense."

On whether or not anything has changed following the visit.

"Well, Georgia has been great to me. And showed me a ton of love. I also met with the baseball coaches this weekend. I plan on trying to play both in college. It didn't change anything as far as how my family is handling the process. I am just grateful to be in a position to be recruited by a place like Georgia. And once my official visits are done then my family and I will decide what is best for me as a person and as football/baseball player."
