Tykee Smith Injured vs Florida
The No. 1 ranked Georgia Bulldogs are in Jacksonville, Florida to take on the Florida Gators in the Outdoor Cocktail party. The annual matchup featuring two SEC Eastern foes kicked off without starting Georgia tight end Brock Bowers due to an ankle injury, and the injury bug did show up again in this football game.
Midway through the third quarter, with Georgia up 29 to 7, senior defensive back Tykee Smith fell to the field just before a 4th down play. He's being attended to by UGA's sports medicine department now. Smith was able to get up and walk off on his own power.
This article will be updated as further information is provided.
UPDATE: Tykee Smith returned to action at the start of the fourth quarter and appears to be fine.
