Get to Know Gatlin Bair, Recent Georgia Offer

Georgia is one of the best in the business at finding talent across the nation, and one of their latest finds is four-star wide receiver, Gatlin Bair.

A massive asset to Georgia being so successful on the recruiting trail is the amount of talent they have in their very own backyard. The Peach state is littered with talent, and the Bulldogs have been a major beneficiary of it. But head coach Kirby Smart and his staff have also proven they are capable of tapping into talented recruits across the United States.

In some of Georgia's recent recruiting classes, they have landed players from Maryland, California, Nevada, Virginia, Texas and now in the most recent action, they have offered the No. 1 player in the state of Idaho. Gatlin Bair is a four-star wide receiver and is ranked as a top 25 wide receiver in the 2024 class according to 247's composite rankings. He picked up an offer from the Bulldogs earlier in the week, and his recruitment has really taken off over the past couple of months.

Since February, Bair has picked up offers from Miami, UCLA, Wisconsin, TCU, Florida, and Arkansas. In his junior high school season, he stacked up 1,073 receiving yards on 73 receptions, scored 20 touchdowns, and averaged 119 receiving yards per game. Bair also serves as his team's kick returner so he is known for making big-time plays all over the field.

The first thing that jumps off of the tape is Bair's game-breaking speed. When watching his highlight clips, it is very evident that the Idaho native possesses some unreal speed. Bair recently posted a clip on Twitter of him running 10.18 in the 100-meter event for his track team. Bair has a history of competing in the Junior Olympics to showcase his blazing speed, and in this era of college football, track times have become a major asset to a player's recruitment.

Since wide receiver coach Bryan McClendon was brought back onto staff in 2022, the Bulldogs have been successful in regard to recruiting the wide receiver position. They brought in three wide receivers from the 2023 class, and Bair looks to be a prospect they are targeting for their 2024 class.

If there is one thing that Georgia loves in a prospect, it's speed and Bair certainly has that box checked. There is still a lot of time left before pen will meet paper with this 2024 class, but this will be a recruitment that fans will want to keep their eyes on.
