Daniel Calhoun Talks About his Recruitment, Relationship with Georgia

Four star offensive lineman Daniel Calhoun talks about his recruitment and the relationship he has built with Georgia's staff.
In this story:

Georgia wrapped up their 2023 recruiting class not too long ago which all that means is most of the attention now shifts to the 2024 recruiting class. As per usual, the state of Georgia is loaded down with immensely talented athletes for the upcoming class, and one of them is offensive lineman Daniel Calhoun out of Marietta Georgia.

Calhoun is currently ranked as a five star prospect and the third best offensive tackle in the nation. We had the opportunity to catch up with Calhoun at the Under Armour Next Series event in Calhoun, Georgia and discussed his recruitment and his relationship with Georgia. Here is the full interview:

Calhoun mentions that he will probably be taking visits to Georgia, Alabama, Florida and Tennessee though sources have indicated this battle remains between Georgia and Alabama for the most part, with a handful of schools fighting to creep their way in.

He also mentioned that the Bulldogs have been recruiting him since 8th grade and that they were the first to offer which will always help a school stand out amongst the rest. Calhoun also mentioned that Stacy Searels in a "really good" offensive line coach and that he keeps in touch with him about once a week.

The football season may be done for the Bulldogs but the work on the recruiting trail essentially never stops for that staff. They're one of the best in the business when it comes to getting the job done in that area of the sport, and Calhoun is certainly a prospect that the Bulldogs will be wanting to add to their roster when his time comes.
