How do the ACC Standings look going into the week?

Granted, there has only been one conference game played by almost every team, but there have been some interesting results so far in the ACC this season.

Georgia Tech is 5-3 overall this season and has won three of their last four games. The one conference game they played this year was a stunning win over Duke in Atlanta. Their next game conference game is in January against Florida State. Damon Stoudamire's team has some intriguing pieces and if they can all fit together as the season goes on, they could be a tough team to beat.

Clemson is the last remaining unbeaten team in the ACC. The Tigers are off to a 9-0 start and have a conference win over Pitt.

Virginia, Miami, and North Carolina each have wins against teams projected to be at the bottom of the ACC standings. UVA defeated Syracuse, Miami beat Notre Dame, and UNC had to have a big comeback to beat Florida State. All three teams are expected to compete at the top of the ACC.

NC State, Virginia Tech, and Georgia Tech each are 1-0 in the conference. These three teams are going to be wildcards in the ACC race. They could pull some upsets and shake things up, but I don't know that any of them can seriously contend to win the conference.

The teams with a conference loss already are not that surprising, outside of Duke, who was the preseason pick to win the ACC.

Boston College and Syracuse are projected to be near the bottom and while they are both 7-3 overall, neither of them has impressive wins. Pitt is a team to watch for after their big season a year ago.

Florida State, Louisville, and Notre Dame are each at the bottom of the ACC and I would expect them to stay there.
