Live Updates: Georgia Tech Basketball Looks To Upset Third-Place Pitt

Can Georgia Tech pull an upset on the road at Pitt tonight?

Don't look now, but Georgia Tech has put together a winning streak for the first time since December.

Sure it is just a two-game winning streak and one of the wins was against Division II Florida Tech, but the Yellow Jackets have been playing solid basketball in the last five games.

Pitt has been near the top of the ACC Standings all season but dipped to third place after losing to Virginia Tech on Saturday. Georgia Tech just recently beat the Hokies, so that should be a confidence boost ahead of the matchup with the Panthers.

Georgia Tech has won two games in a row / Georgia Tech Athletics

Prior to the loss to Virginia Tech, the Panthers had won eight of nine games to ascend to a share of first place in the ACC, one of those wins by a 71-60 score against the Yellow Jackets in Atlanta on Jan. 14. Pitt begins the week in third place in the conference, one game behind first-place Virginia.

17:20- Media Timeout and Georgia Tech trails 41-40. Kelly is up to 16 points and Tech is shooting 47% and has not committed a turnover

15:58- Media Timeout and Georgia Tech now has the lead 42-41

11:47- Georgia Tech leads 49-45 at the media timeout. Kelly leads with 19 points and Franklin now has 11. Tech is shooting 49%

10:11- Pitt has not scored in over three minutes. Tech leads 50-49

9:31- Georgia Tech has not scored in the last 3:34. Pitt leads 53-52

6:58- Pitt has hit their last five shots and leads 60-56

3:32- Media timeout and Georgia Tech trails 65-59
