Four-star defensive end C.J. Jackson de-commits from Georgia Tech

Jackson was the highest-rated commit in the Yellow Jackets 2024 class

The highest-rated recruit in the 2024 class for Georgia Tech has decided to de-commit. 

C.J. Jackson, who plays at Tucker High School in Georgia, announced today that he is decommitting from the Yellow Jackets. Jackson is a four-star edge player according to the 247Sports Composite and is ranked the 194th best player in the country according to the Composite. On3 Sports has Jackson as a top 65 player in the country.

This was a big win for Brent Key and his staff when Jackson committed back in June. It is now a big loss for the Yellow Jackets, as I think Jackson is a future star pass rusher and overall solid defender. 

He held big-time offers from schools such as Alabama, LSU, Florida, Auburn, Clemson, Georgia, South Carolina, Texas A&M, and Tennessee, among others. 

Before this decommittment, Georgia Tech's 2024 class ranked 30th in the country on 247Sports. 

Georgia Tech travels to Miami this weekend to play the No. 17 Hurricanes. Kickoff is set for 8:00 p.m. on ACC Network.
