Brent Key gives injury update for wide receiver Leo Blackburn
Georgia Tech wide receiver Leo Blackburn was set to have a prominent role on this team in 2023, but an injury in the spring appeared to cut his 2023 short. For the first time since the spring, Yellow Jackets head coach Brent Key gave an update on Blackburn's injury and he sounded optimistic.
Key said that Blackburn is running and cutting and is far ahead of schedule, but he has not been cleared. Key said that he is excited for when Blackburn is cleared and he loves the progress that he has made so far.
Georgia Tech has a deep receiving corps this year, but they don't have a player who is quite like Blackburn. He is a potential threat to win 50-50 balls and make plays down the field.
Blackburn finished the 2022 season with five catches for 81 yards and one touchdown.
