Top Georgia Tech Target Kylan Fox Cuts Top Schools List Down To Six
Four-star athlete Kylan Fox has been one of the top 2024 targets for Georgia Tech this cycle and he is starting to trim his lists of top schools further and further.
During the month of February, Fox released his top 15 and it included Georgia Tech among the schools. Fox has visited Georgia Tech and it is apparent that Brent Key and this staff have made him a priority.
Yesterday, he cut his list of top schools from 15 to six and the Yellow Jackets remain squarely in the hunt for the talented in-state player.
Schools that were in his top 15 that did not make the top six are Tennessee, South Carolina, Louisville, North Carolina, Alabama, Ohio State, Auburn, Stanford, and Cincinnati.
Fox is not the biggest prospect at his position (6'4 208 LBS), but he is a terrific receiving threat and is dangerous from anywhere on the field and projects well to the next level.
Fox has also recently taken visits to Miami and UCF, who are in his top six.
Here is the scouting report on Fox from 247Sports Director of Scouting Andrew Ivins:
"A two-way player on Friday nights that has gotten snaps at both tight end and edge rusher. Has the desired measurements as he’s over 6-foot-4 and blessed with some additional length in the arms. Flashed on the defensive side of the ball as a sophomore in the Peach State’s highest classification, but started to bill himself as more of a tight end after a junior campaign in which he caught 25 passes for 326 yards and two scores. As a route runner, uses lanky stride to get across the field and find holes in zone coverage. Owns a bigger catch radius, but needs to keep improving the hands. Must also learn how to consistently find leverage if he’s going to be a true in-line player on Saturdays. As a defender, has showcased the ability to get around the corner and get home as he uses a nice forward lean to generate momentum. However, will need to keep progressing and learn how to formulate a plan as a pass rusher if his primary goal one day will be to pressure opposing quarterbacks. Overall, should be viewed as big athlete with some tools to work with. A case could be made that his ceiling might be highest on defense given length and burst, but had his moments as a pass catcher spring before senior season on the camp circuit."
The 2024 class for Georgia Tech is headlined by four-star quarterback Jakhari Williams (Macon, GA). Williams has been the building block for Key in this class and is going to be the quarterback of the future for the Yellow Jackets.
