Georgia Tech will be without two offensive players this weekend

Georgia Tech is getting ready to take on Bowling Green on Saturday afternoon (and will be doing so in some new uniforms), but they will be down two offensive players on Saturday.

Yellow Jackets head coach Brent Key spoke with the media today and revealed that offensive tackle Jordan Williams and wide receiver Chase Lane will be out this week. Williams went down with an injury early in the victory over Wake Forest and Lane has missed the last two games against Ole Miss and Wake Forest with an injury. Key also said that Williams will be out for a couple of weeks and is aiming for him to come back after the bye week and that the target for Lane to come back was in next week's road trip to Miami. Key also mentioned that Dominick Blaylock is day-to-day.

With Lane has been a good threat on the outside when he is in, but this team is pretty deep at receiver. Eric Singleton Jr. has been a stud since being in the starting lineup and has a touchdown in each game this season and Christian Leary has also stepped up in Lane's absence. Jakiah Leftwich came in for Williams last week and will likely get the start at right tackle after playing well against Wake Forest.

It is big that the Yellow Jackets could get Lane back for the Miami game, but not having Williams might hurt. Miami has one of the best defensive lines in the ACC and Leftwich will be challenged against the Hurricanes next Saturday.
