Georgia Tech vs. Miami: How to watch and live stream

Georgia Tech will face Miami this Saturday night

Georgia Tech had hoped to be 3-2 heading into their matchup against Miami on Saturday, but that is not going to be the case for Brent Key's team. After a loss to Bowling Green yesterday, Georgia Tech is 2-3 and there is a lot of uncertainty as to how the rest of the season will play out.

One thing that is certain is that Georgia Tech is trying to change things up on the defensive end.  After five poorly coached games, Georgia Tech decided to make linebackers coach Kevin Sherrer the defensive coordinator and demote Andrew Thacker to safeties coach. Thacker had been the defensive coordinator since 2019, but the play on that side of the ball has been a disaster so far. The Yellow Jackets are one of the worst scoring defenses, run defenses, and tackling teams in the country.

Here is what head coach Brent Key said regarding the move:

"Our performance on defense this season hasn’t met the standard that we expect at Georgia Tech. While the responsibility for that does not fall on any one individual – in fact, as the head coach, that responsibility begins with me – I do feel that a new voice and perspective from the coordinator role is necessary for us to improve,” Key said. “Coach Sherrer is a veteran coach that has had great success in all aspects of coaching defense and at the highest levels of football. I’m confident in his ability to lead our defense and achieve the improvement that we expect and demand.”

That is not good news ahead of their matchup with No. 17 Miami. Miami has one of the best offensive lines in the country and one of the top running games and based on how they have played through five games, I doubt Georgia Tech will be able to stop them.

The Hurricanes and Yellow Jackets are set for a prime-time matchup on Saturday night and here is how you can watch it.
