Report: Keion White Has Visits With Nine NFL Teams Scheduled
Former Georgia Tech defensive lineman Keion White is hoping to become the first Yellow Jacket selected in the first round of the NFL Draft since Demaryius Thomas and Derrick Morgan were selected in the first round in 2010. He is one of the most versatile defensive linemen in the entire draft and that is going to be appealing to pretty much every NFL team.
With the first round of the draft less than three weeks away, prospect visits and workouts are ramping up and according to reports, White has a busy schedule ahead. One of White's upcoming visits is with one of the NFL's most iconic franchises according to the Draft Network's Ryan Fowler:
It is not just the Steelers though. White reportedly has visits set up with eight other teams as well.
The Tennessee Titans, Jacksonville Jaguars, Baltimore Ravens, Green Bay Packers, Indianapolis Colts, and the Minnesota Vikings
The Falcons select 8th in the first round and the rest of the teams pick in the middle to late part of the first round. If he falls out of the first round, I think it is unlikely that these teams pass on him a second time.
White played in all 12 games for Georgia Tech last season and led the team with 7.5 sacks and was named third-team All-ACC.
Playing defensive end for only a few seasons makes me think that White is just starting to scratch his potential and he could see a big jump in the NFL. He is an extremely hard-working player with very good athleticism and can play multiple positions along the defensive line. That is going to make him appealing to NFL teams and whoever takes him will be glad they did.
