Updated ACC Standings: Week Eight

The ACC now has two undefeated teams left after week seven

There has been some movement at the top of the ACC this week.

There were four teams that were undefeated in ACC play going into Saturday, but only three left without a loss. Louisville went on the road as a touchdown favorite against a struggling Pitt team and came up short, losing 38-21. The Cardinals are still in the ACC title race, but they now have a loss and are behind Florida State and North Carolina, who they do not play this season.

Florida State remains at the top after a blowout win over Syracuse and the Seminoles remain the team with the best chance to get in the college football playoff from the conference.

North Carolina got big games from wide receiver Tez Walker and running back Omarion Hampton in their win over Miami and now North Carolina is 6-0 and should be considered a college football playoff dark horse.

Duke was without quarterback Riley Leonard, but they still won 24-3 against NC State on Saturday and the Blue Devils still do not have an ACC loss. They face a huge test this week on the road at Florida State.

Surprisingly, Georgia Tech and Virginia Tech are next in the standings at 2-1 in the ACC. The Yellow Jackets were off this week and Virginia Tech picked up a win over Wake Forest.

Clemson is 2-2 in ACC play and was on their bye week this week.

NC State, Boston College, and Pitt are now 1-2 in ACC play after the weekend. NC State lost to Duke, BC was on their bye week, and Pitt upset Louisville.

Miami, Virginia, Syracuse, and Wake Forest remain winless in ACC play.
