Updated ACC Standings: Week Six

How do the ACC Standings look heading into week six?

Most of the top teams in the ACC were off this week, but there were a few teams in the conference that were able to get their first win of the season.

Clemson had to shake off a tough loss to Florida State and go on the road to face an undefeated Syracuse team, but the Tigers took care of business and moved to 1-2 in conference play. Boston College got down early but battled back to get their first ACC win of the year against Virginia.

In a battle of 1-3 teams, Virginia Tech defended their home field against Pitt and avoided a 1-4 start that would have made the seat even warmer on Brent Pry.

Louisville became the first team to become 3-0 in the ACC after a very ugly win over NC State, but the Cardinals will take being 5-0. They will face their biggest test of the year against Notre Dame this weekend.

Duke did not play in a conference game this weekend, but the Blue Devils missed an opportunity to get a big win over Notre Dame. The biggest thing for Duke heading into their bye week will be the status of quarterback Riley Leonard, who was injured late in the game against the Fighting Irish.

Syracuse lost their first conference game of the year to Clemson but has a chance to get back on track against North Carolina on Saturday.

Georgia Tech did not play in a conference game on Saturday, but they suffered an embarrassing loss to Bowling Green at home. The Yellow Jackets take on Miami this weekend.

Virginia is now 0-2 in the ACC and 0-5 for the season. The Cavaliers face William and Mary this weekend.

Pitt continued its dismal season by dropping to 1-4 overall after their loss to Virginia Tech. It has been a season to forget for the Panthers so far.
