Adam Morrison believes Nolan Hickman was snubbed of All-WCC first team honor

“I'd be upset if I was Nolan," Morrison said on The Perimeter. "I think he’s played good enough in conference play to be a first-teamer."
In this story:

For the first time in a decade, the Gonzaga Bulldogs didn't take home an individual West Coast Conference yearly award.

Despite leading the league in scoring and field goal percentage in conference play, Graham Ike wasn't named either the WCC Player of the Year or Newcomer of the Year. Ryan Nembhard led the WCC in assists per game and had the best assist-to-turnover ratio yet wasn't named Newcomer of the Year either, while Anton Watson was second in steals and graded as one of the best defenders in the WCC from an efficiency standpoint — but no Defensive Player of the Year to show for his efforts.

All three were tabbed to the All-WCC first team, while Nolan Hickman was on the league's second team. A nice recognition for the junior guard who averaged a career-best 14.0 points, though former Gonzaga All-American Adam Morrison believes Hickman deserved to be on the first team with his teammates.

“I'd be upset if I was Nolan," Morrison said on The Perimeter. "I think he’s played good enough in conference play to be a first-teamer."

Morrison reacts to the WCC awards and much more on a new episode of The Perimeter.
