Andrew Nembhard on Chet Holmgren's rookie NBA season: 'He's the epitome of what the league has become'

Nembhard had high praise for his former Gonzaga teammate on a new episode of Talking Zags

Standing 7-foot-1, Chet Holmgren can do things on a basketball court that most NBA players his size can't do — between the legs dribbles, running a pick-and-roll set and stepping beyond the 3-point line namely. But as the modern game has evolved and spacing the floor is more prevalent than ever, the Oklahoma City Thunder rookie is helping usher in a new wave of skilled big men.

"He's the epitome of what the league has become," said former Gonzaga Bulldogs guard Andrew Nembhard of his former college teammate Holmgren. "Guys playing all different types of positions; you got little guys setting screens and rolling, you got big guys shooting 3s, coming off ball screens, passing the ball well.”

Nembhard spoke highly of his former Gonzaga teammate and much more on a new episode of Talking Zags. Nembhard's comments on Holmgren start at the 15:30 mark of the video.
