Andrew Nembhard on Drew Timme's path to the NBA: 'I don’t think there's many guys in the league that can stop him one-on-one'

“It’s all about the opportunity," Nembhard said on Talking Zags. “I think there’s a spot in this league for him too.”

Drew Timme's NBA aspirations have been put on hold after suffering a broken foot in a G League game. However, his former Gonzaga Bulldogs teammate Andrew Nembhard still believes the once-dominant college basketball player can carve out a career at the pro level.

"It’s a lot about opportunity and finding that right spot and taking advantage of an opportunity at the right time,” Nembhard said on Talking Zags. “Whenever that comes I think he’ll be ready for that. I think the way the game is in the league with all the spacing they’re not going to double him as much. I think he’ll be able to score the ball well.”

Nembhard stopped by Talking Zags with Dan Dickau to discuss Timme's future in the NBA, the current state of the Bulldogs and why another run at the Sweet 16 in the NCAA Tournament is in the cards. Watch the full episode in the video above. The segment on Timme starts at the 13:50 mark.
