Dan Dickau believes Braden Huff has been the best player for Gonzaga so far in 2023-24

Huff leads Gonzaga in scoring ahead of Maui Invitational
In this story:

Don't look now, but Braden Huff is off to one of the best starts by a first-year player in Gonzaga men's basketball history.

The 6-foot-10 redshirt freshman tallied 42 total points in the Bulldogs' first two wins of the season against Yale and Eastern Oregon. Kevin Pangos is the only first-year player in program history to score more points in his first two outings, as he scored 44 points to start the 2011-12 season. Huff's 19 points in the season opener were also the third-most by a first-year player in their debut in program history.

Huff has also put the ball in the basket at an efficient clip, which is even more reason for Dan Dickau to believe Huff has been the best player for the Bulldogs thus far into the 2023-24 season. Watch what the former All-American had to say about Huff in a new mailbag episode of the Gonzaga Nation podcast.
