Dominick Harris listed as 'doubtful' for Gonzaga-LMU rematch

Former Bulldogs' guard injured his knee against San Francisco

The Gonzaga Bulldogs will face an injury-riddled Loyola Marymount team when the two square off in Los Angeles on Thursday.

Lions head coach Stan Johnson declared former Gonzaga guard Dominick Harris as "doubtful" to play his former team, as first reported by the Spokesman-Review on Tuesday.

Harris missed Saturday's loss to Pepperdine after he suffered a knee injury in the first half of a road loss at San Francisco on Wednesday. Johnson speculated that the 6-foot-3 redshirt junior "hyperextended" the knee and is "day-to-day."

Harris has taken the offensive reigns in his first season at LMU, averaging a team-high 14.0 points in 23 games (12 starts), which ranks 10th in the West Coast Conference. He leads the conference in 3-point field goal percentage (43.6%, 11th in NCAA Division-I) and 3-pointers made per game (2.7).

Harris wasn't his normal self in his return to The Kennel two weeks ago, as he finished with 11 points, shot 4-of-13 from the field and committed four turnovers in Gonzaga's 92-58 blowout over LMU, which committed 20 turnovers as a team.

In addition to Harris, the Lions will be without fifth-year forward Keli Leaupepe. The 6-foot-6, 240-pound forward hasn't played since the loss at Gonzaga due to plantar fasciitis. Leaupepe is averaging 9.9 points and 5.2 rebounds this season.

The Bulldogs look to build off their 89-85 upset over then-No. 17 Kentucky at Rupp Arena on Saturday, as Graham Ike led with 23 points while Nolan Hickman and Anton Watson added 17 apiece. Ben Gregg stuffed the stat sheet with 14 points, five rebounds, two blocks and two steals as well as the game-sealing interception on an alley-oop attempt from Reed Sheppard that would've tied the game. Braden Huff finished 12 points off the bench and earned WCC Freshman of the Week on Monday, his fourth weekly award this season.
