Bulldogs take on Broncos in first WCC road game

The first of a three-game road trip for the Gonzaga Bulldogs sees them head south to face a reloaded Santa Clara squad.

No. 23 Gonzaga (11-4, 2-0 WCC) started league play on a high note with wire-to-wire wins over Pepperdine and San Diego last week. The Bulldogs looked confident as ever from behind the arc, as they combined to shoot 18-for-42 (42.9%) on 3-point attempts in the pair of victories. The backcourt especially took advantage of its looks, with Nolan Hickman (7-of-13) and Ryan Nembhard (6-of-8) each shooting above 50% from deep to start WCC action.

Graham Ike leads the Bulldogs with 15.2 points and 8.0 rebounds per game. Anton Watson chips in 13.8 points and 7.3 rebounds per game, while Nembhard leads the WCC with 6.0 assists per game.

Gonzaga leads the conference in scoring (84.9 points) and rebounding (42.5 per game).

Carlos Marshall Jr. adds 14.2 points and 5.6 rebounds per game.

The Broncos are third in the league with 76.6 points per game and lead the league at 37.4% from downtown.
