John Stockton on Gonzaga's showdown with Kentucky: 'We are going to be the hungriest dog'

Stockton shared his thoughts on the Kentucky game on an episode of Talking Zags

The Gonzaga Bulldogs have arguably their toughest test they'll face on the road this season when they head into a hostile Rupp Arena to face the Kentucky Wildcats on Saturday.

Gonzaga took the first matchup in the six-year home-and-home series with Kentucky, 88-72, at the Spokane Arena last season. This time around however features a more talented Wildcats squad oozing with NBA-caliber talent at numerous positions, including freshmen phenoms Justin Edwards, DJ Wagner, Aaron Bradshaw and Rob Dillingham. The young crop of talent helps guide the No. 3 scoring offense in the country (88.8 points per game).

Gonzaga will have its work cut out in enemy territory, with 2024 NCAA Tournament implications looming large.

Gonzaga legend John Stockton broke down how the Bulldogs can utilize an underdog mentality to pull off an upset over the Wildcats in a new episode of Talking Zags.

“This university has cut their teeth and gotten into this picture by beating teams just like this,” Stockton said on an episode of Talking Zags. You can watch the full episode in the video above.
