Marcus Adams Jr. commits to Gonzaga Bulldogs

The four-star freshman decommitted from Kansas last week

It did not take Marcus Adams Jr. very long to make a decision.

After visiting Gonzaga on Friday, Adams Jr. announced his commitment to the Zags on Saturday afternoon. He made the announcement on social media.

A 6-foot-8 class of 2023 recruit, Adams Jr. requested a release from his National Letter of Intent with Kansas last week.

Per the NCAA rules regarding players' "Division I five-year clock" window, Adams Jr. requested a release of his NLI to avoid using his one-time free transfer and obtaining a waiver to play during the 2023-24 season.

From Torrance, California, the Narbonne High School product was the No. 8-ranked small forward and the 11th-ranked recruit in the state of California.

Adams Jr. initially chose Kansas over UCLA, Arkansas, Indiana, Nebraska, Oregon, Mississippi State, Syracuse, Tennessee, USC, Washington and Washington State.
