The Gonzaga men’s basketball team came in at No. 10 in the Associated Press Top 25 poll on Monday, less than 48 hours since earning a share of the WCC regular season title.

With College Gameday in town, the Zags (25-5, 14-2 WCC) defeated No. 17 Saint Mary’s, 77-68, on Saturday to clinch a share of their 11th-straight conference regular season title. The Gaels (25-6, 14-2 WCC) dropped two spots in the poll, yet were awarded the No. 1 seed in the WCC tournament due to having a higher NCAA Evaluation Tool ranking than the Zags.

The Zags are No. 9 in the NET, while the Gaels sit at No. 7. Saint Mary’s is No. 8 in KenPom’s rankings and Gonzaga is No. 10.

Gonzaga closes out the regular season with senior night on Wednesday at 6 p.m. against Chicago State.

This week’s poll features an unchanged top five, as No. 1 Houston stands at the top again, followed by Alabama, Kansas, UCLA and Purdue despite suffering its third loss in four games. The Boilermakers (24-5, 13-5 Big Ten) failed to clinch a share of the conference title on Sunday after losing at home to No. 15 Indiana, which swept the season series for the first time in a decade.

No. 6 Marquette clinched a share of the Big East title and rose four spots in the poll, tied for the largest jump by a program this week. Baylor, Arizona, Texas and Gonzaga rounded out the top 10.

No. 14 UConn and No. 18 San Diego State also jumped four spots.

Back-to-back losses to unranked Boston College and North Carolina dropped No. 13 Virginia seven spots in the poll. The Cavaliers (21-6, 13-5 ACC) had a chance to clinch a share of the ACC title after No. 16 Miami lost to Florida State, but instead, No. 25 Pitt has sole possession atop the conference.

No. 23 Kentucky returned to the top 25 after a seven-week absence.
