All in all, Green has been named to six All-America teams for his performance in the 2023 season. The senior led the nation in sacks per game and tackles for loss per game. Green was also named Sun Belt Conference Defensive Player of the Year after he broke the conference's single-season sacks record in just nine games. He ended the season with 50 total tackles, 2 tackles for loss, 15.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, one interception return for a touchdown and a pass breakup.
Nicholson, a junior, made at least one field goal in every game this year. Nicholson made 25 consecutive field goals in the 2023 season, tied for the most ever in FBS. After the MAC title game, Nicholson's totals were up to 26 makes on 27 attempts for field goals and 35 makes on 36 attempts on PATs. He was awarded the Lou Groza trophy last week, given annually to the nation's top kicker.
Nicholson entered the transfer portal earlier this week, but announced his intention to return to Miami for the 2024 season earlier Friday.
